Dr.Yarish is a Bergen County Physical Therapist, licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey. He attended The College of New Jersey, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science along with a minor in Business Management. He then continued his education at West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.
While at West Coast University, Dr. Yarish was honored with an academic award for being in the top of his graduating class. Dr. Yarish has experience across the country working with orthopedic musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, sports rehabilitation, and post-operative rehabilitation. From diagnosing and treating complicated patients in the ICU and neurological departments of the Baylor University Medical Center in downtown Dallas, to working with high-level athletes in Venice Beach, California, Dr. Yarish has had worked with a comprehensive spectrum of patients. Dr. Yarish has also had the unique experience to work with the New York Football Giants providing physical therapy care to professional athletes.
As a Bergen County NJ Physical Therapist, Dr. Yarish strives to increase patients’ longevity while simultaneously improving their quality of life. To achieve this goal, Dr. Yarish takes a biopsychosocial approach, analyzing each patient and considering factors impacting the patient as a whole, then tailoring the program to the individual’s specific needs to regain full functional ability.
Dr. Yarish is also a Graston Technique provider for northern New Jersey. Graston Technique is a specific type of soft tissue mobilization using specific Graston instruments that treat fascial restrictions and scar tissue. Graston Technique is specifically successful at treating a multitude of injuries including but not limited to tendinitis such as; rotator cuff, biceps, or achilles tendinitis, epicondylitis such as golfers elbow or tennis elbow, trigger finger, plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, knee pain, muscle and ligaments sprains and strains. Graston Technique has been clinically proven to eliminate pain, restore ROM and restore functional ability in a shorter treatment period.
In his free time, Dr. Yarish enjoys spending time with his friends and family and taking trips to new places whenever possible. Dr. Yarish uses his health principles to personally maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise, diet and experimenting with the latest research in health and science. Dr. Yarish believes his personal implementation is an essential tool in giving optimal care to his patients.
